I want to buy a dial for my seiko diver. it is an original dial in good condition but the owner tried without success to lume the indices (the indices are not lumed normally). I would like to know what is the best way to remove the lume without destroying the dial. Some Rolex dials are only available to buy and exchange directly by Rolex, meaning your watch needs to be sent to Rolex in Geneva for the dial change. This is indicated on the MyRolexNetwork website (which is exclusively for ADs) as ”Exchange HQ”.
At the time Rolex started producing Small Crown Submariners and other Sport Models circa 1953, Radium was used for the luminous material on the dial and hands. The material has a distinct orange ochre color and the shape of the markers has a three dimensional appearance.Relumes for all mechanical and quartz watches using only the best pigments.
