Pretty damn happy with the results. You can rub with the cloth and your finger; but imo the Q tip allows for better pressure and more precision. The cloth gets wrapped around the q-tip and the q-tip is used to apply the cloth to the metal. The polish, which is well-known and popular in classic car and motorcycle circles, works in a similar way to the polishing cloths from Cape Cod, except that here the cleaning and polishing petroleum derivatives are not incorporated into a cloth, but into absorbent cotton.
